We had a great weekend at the baseball tournament...man I am really getting into this baseball thing, that was intense and so much fun! The boys won all 3 games they played on Saturday by 12 point and then had a wake up call this morning and lost their first and second game! But over all did SO AWESOME! I am proud.

4th of July Family Reunion

Well this year’s family reunion was definitely an interesting one to say the least. We got word of the flu had hit the house before we got there but we just thought we would all just wash a lot and try to avoid the sick… We arrived at midnight Thursday night and had a nice relaxing day of fun, food and games on Friday, then all broke loose on Saturday. When we woke, we found out that Uncle Murray had been sick all night. The day started off with the boys heading to a rafting trip (which Jason was feeling not so good before he left). Abbey starting puking around breakfast time, some of us headed to watch the boys and go to the beach around noon. Joelie puked once we got to the beach but then seemed fine, we had fun at the beach. We headed back to the Moose Lodge and Joelie got sick again and we found out that Wendi wasn’t feeling too good either. We all made the decision it was probably best to head home and all be sick at home…well all didn’t go as well as planned. The car ride home was HORRIBLE! We left with Abbey and Jo both puking in bags. About 45 minutes from Jo’s we got pulled over for speeding, he let us go…I think he could smell the puke radiating from the car. At Lewiston Billie yelled pull into the gas station QUICK and she ran in and puked, while she was in there Wendi decided to puke in the car and smelled it up to high heaven. Back on the road again…about 15 miles later another pull over and Matt is out puking…now it is only me and Jaden. I drove the rest of the way home scared to death of puking or pooping myself all the way home. I made it, but yes by 1:00 am I had the puke myself. Jaden is the only one who made it thru!! We are all better now and hope Jeremy didn’t catch anything when we got home. The mask hopefully worked! A family reunion we will NEVER forget. Only 4 people made it out alive and wellJ Yeah for Jackie, Stuart, Grandma Butler and Jaden!

2nd Best Day of Jaden's Life Thanks to Blake

Jaden has had the second best day of his life...It started out Friday afternoon when he got to go to a camp cookout with the Egli's--he had a blast. Then on Saturday morning we started off with the yard sale, then off to baseball pictures, baseball game against Chacers (in which we WON this time), then off to his last soccer game. He came home and we told him we had a surprise for him. See video below:-) The first game Blake gave him tickets to, he told him it was the best day of his life!! Well then after he knew where he was going we told him we had one more surprise...he was going with his daddy and his best friend for life and his daddy (Chacers and Dave), he just fell on the ground in surprise! Can you tell we love this kid?

And I almost forgot, he got a game ball to top the night off, thanks again Kluse's!!

Today was beautiful! We had a HOT baseball game today and they won - it was a really good game. After Jaden's game we headed over to Chacer's game to watch the end of his. I had an awesome day today the day began with sleeping in, then we got ready to go to the farm. We went to McD's for breakfast burritos, then headed out! We checked a few circles, did a little exploring, went fishing, went on a hike, saw a turtle, caught a fish, rode the 4-wheeler, did some batting practice and took a little nap on the way home. When we got home Granny made dinner and my family was there to celebrate, we hung out in the back yard and played with the kids even my brother and his family were in town. Thanks for all the calls, emails and cards:-) Oh and we did a little red neck boating, see video below. What to expect for 34! I had better rest up!

We received several calls yesterday worried about my dad being robbed. I just verified he is home, no bump on his head that I can see, he has is wallet, tv and car. So all is good in the John MICHEL household. Thank goodness!

KENNEWICK, Wash-- Kennewick police officers are looking for three suspects they say knocked a man over the head with a gun then robbed him.

It happened Saturday afternoon. Officers say three people were let into John Michaels' home on the 400 block of South Olympia Street. That's when they hit him over the head. When Michaels woke up his wallet, t-v and car were missing.

Officers found the car Sunday morning a few blocks away. We spoke with Michaels, who didn't want to go on camera. He says he didn't know the suspects. He described one of the them as having a beard.

1. I grew up on a farm in Othello (the name of the road was Pump Access believe it or not).
2. I am the daughter and wife of a farmer.
3. I love BINGO.
4. I have worked at Battelle since 1993, my senior year in high school (COE student).
5. I married my best friend and high school sweetheart.

Sunny Skiing Today At Ski Bluewood

Today was another awesome ski day. We went to Bluewood and had sunny skis. The kids both advanced a ton today. Jaden is a snowboard machine and Joelie even went down Tamarack with me!! I think we have new skiing/snowboarding buddies!

Great Weekend

This weekend was awesome! We left Saturday morning, checked into the Davenport (which is a REALLY nice place) Joelie and I took a nap while the boys went to play some laser tag. We then met my good OLD friends from junior high (back in Othello) Janell and her family and Kristina (aka TINA) at the The Spaghetti Factory and had such a good time talking about the good old days! Then Sunday morning we headed up to Mt Spokane for Joelie’s first skiing experience and Jaden’s first snowboard experience. Once we got everyone’s gear on and went potty for the 50^th time we finally started. Of course Joelie said I can’t about 100 times, but by about 2 pm, they both had caught on and were loving it. It was the best skiing day I have ever had. I was HOT for the first time ever skiing. Had no gloves or coat on! I want to go again really soon because they were just getting it when it was time to go. But we spent the ENTIRE day there! We went back to the hotel and changed and then walked to PF Changs for some good lettuce wraps. This morning we had breakfast with another friend Tracy, it was nice to see her again and it was a really good breakfast. After breakfast, we HAD to go to the pool since we hadn't made it there yet. So the kids and Jer did a little swimming before we checked out. We then headed to the valley mall where Jeremy dropped us girls off to TJ Maxx and Old Navy while they headed to Cabelas. If you haven’t been to Old Navy’s sale, you should they are having 50% off clearance – some killer deals! We then went to Boston's I think it is called and ate lunch with Janell and the boys, our kids get along so good! Fun times! Anyway, it was an AWESOME weekend. I will try to post some videos of the kids on the hill.

I just love hand-me-downs, is this not the cutest snow suit in the world, I LOVE IT!! Oh and the little girl in the suit is pretty cute too! Thank you so much Renee, I owe you big time!! She can’t wait to try it out on the ski hill! Go Jo!

Day 4: Butler Cousin Reunion 2008...

Day 4: The Cousin Reunion is wrapping up…Johny and Bailey were the first to head out of here this morning, then left the seattle bus (chad returned them home safely) and then Jared and Abbey took off around 2. We made a mall run, (if you haven’t been to bath and body works, you should, they are having a killer sale!) Billie came home – YEAH! Jason, Jordan and Ariane fly out of here tomorrow afternoon and then it will be just be us. We had a great time but again do appreciate our aunts very much! Happy New Years soon!

Day 3: Butler Cousin Reunion 2008..

Day 3:

Around 9 am this morning Jared and Abbie arrived!! Today started off with pancakes and bacon, very yummy! We then had our family meeting on commitment and after adjourning we had family photos. After photos, the boys decided to go shopping (I know sounds weird but I think it was Hastings) so the girls decided to go get pedicures. We then all met up for a late lunch of frito banditos, yes chili…a mistake we may not make again or at least serve as they are on there way out the door. Then there was so more napping and game playing. Jared and Abbie whipped us up some very yummy lasagna and garlic bread and fruit salad (homemade they say)J Some played games downstairs while most were upstairs playing Rock Band (I went up there once to check on my kids and the smell in that room was TERRIBLE, hence the chili not being on the menu again). Most everyone is tucked in for the night except the teenager boys (who knows when they go to bed????) Here is my shout out to the aunts “I appreciate you all and to all a goodnight”!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am ready for Billie to come homeJ

P.S. You see the gun on the floor, there has been a LOT of shooting going on around here, favorite jo would be proud.

Day 2…

This morning we started off by finding that the snow was all melting FAST, too fast and was causing some problems under the house which led to water being found in Billie’s room where Bailey and Johny are sleeping so Jeremy spent all morning and afternoon pumping water out from under the house. We all had a yummy breakfast as shown in pic 1 of quiche, scrambled eggs and sausage, biscuits and poppy seed muffins. We all headed to the sledding hill in Meadow Springs and had a blast for the afternoon. Jordan and Ariane had their first sledding experience and loved it. When then made our way back up the hill and had cheddar broccoli and chicken noodle soup and rolls. Very yummy! Then some were off for naps while other played games LOUDLY;-) We then hit a matinee 7lbs – pretty good movie. The kids went to Bolt in 3D and loved it. Back up the hill for yes MORE food. Spaghetti and breadsticks and it was really good. Not as good as the aunts cook but pretty dang good. I don’t think anyone is really gaining any weight, but definitely are maintaining. Tonight we just hung out and watched pics and movies of our selves from the day on the tv and most are in bed now…things are going well!! Stay tuned for Day 3…

P.S. Jason did do dishes this morning!! Oh yeah and a modeling shoot in the snow.

Butler Cousin Reunion 2008...

Has began, today is Day 1…

Everyone has arrived but Jared and Abbie and Nikki couldn’t make it. We started it off with a bbq at Chad and Becky’s for lunch. San Diego and Lewiston arrived via airplane this evening and we all had dinner together (Becky made it, don’t worry) we had yummy enchiladas and corn and chips and dip and salad; we talked about having dessert first but decided to not be so rebellious and make the aunts proud. We had ice cream and brownies and various other things for dessert. Stay tuned for updates tomorrow and hopefully some pics.

I finally saw the movie…was more sci-fi then I thought but overall a good flick and NO I am not going to read!! I do want to see the 2^nd movie though!
