Day 4: Butler Cousin Reunion 2008...

Day 4:  The Cousin Reunion is wrapping up…Johny and Bailey were the first to head out of here this morning, then left the seattle bus (chad returned them home safely) and then Jared and Abbey took off around 2.  We made a mall run, (if you haven’t been to bath and body works, you should, they are having a killer sale!)  Billie came home – YEAH!  Jason, Jordan and Ariane fly out of here tomorrow afternoon and then it will be just be us.  We had a great time but again do appreciate our aunts very much!  Happy New Years soon!

Day 3: Butler Cousin Reunion 2008..

Day 3:

Around 9 am this morning Jared and Abbie arrived!! Today started off with pancakes and bacon, very yummy! We then had our family meeting on commitment and after adjourning we had family photos. After photos, the boys decided to go shopping (I know sounds weird but I think it was Hastings) so the girls decided to go get pedicures. We then all met up for a late lunch of frito banditos, yes chili…a mistake we may not make again or at least serve as they are on there way out the door. Then there was so more napping and game playing. Jared and Abbie whipped us up some very yummy lasagna and garlic bread and fruit salad (homemade they say)J Some played games downstairs while most were upstairs playing Rock Band (I went up there once to check on my kids and the smell in that room was TERRIBLE, hence the chili not being on the menu again). Most everyone is tucked in for the night except the teenager boys (who knows when they go to bed????) Here is my shout out to the aunts “I appreciate you all and to all a goodnight”!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am ready for Billie to come homeJ

P.S. You see the gun on the floor, there has been a LOT of shooting going on around here, favorite jo would be proud.

Day 2 Con't: Butler Cousin Reunion 2008...

I forgot to show you all the snowman I made during the snowball fight in which I didn’t participate, but I think I did a pretty good job on the snowladies.

DAY 2: Butler Cousin Reunion 2008...

Day 2…

 

This morning we started off by finding that the snow was all melting FAST, too fast and was causing some problems under the house which led to water being found in Billie’s room where Bailey and Johny are sleeping so Jeremy spent all morning and afternoon pumping water out from under the house.  We all had a yummy breakfast as shown in pic 1 of quiche, scrambled eggs and sausage, biscuits and poppy seed muffins.  We all headed to the sledding hill in Meadow Springs and had a blast for the afternoon.  Jordan and Ariane had their first sledding experience and loved it.  When then made our way back up the hill and had cheddar broccoli and chicken noodle soup and rolls.  Very yummy!  Then some were off for naps while other played games LOUDLY;-)  We then hit a matinee 7lbs – pretty good movie.  The kids went to Bolt in 3D and loved it.  Back up the hill for yes MORE food.  Spaghetti and breadsticks and it was really good.  Not as good as the aunts cook but pretty dang good.  I don’t think anyone is really gaining any weight, but definitely are maintaining.  Tonight we just hung out and watched pics and movies of our selves from the day on the tv and most are in bed now…things are going well!!  Stay tuned for Day 3…

 

P.S. Jason did do dishes this morning!!  Oh yeah and a modeling shoot in the snow.

Butler Cousin Reunion 2008...

Has began, today is Day 1…

 

Everyone has arrived but Jared and Abbie and Nikki couldn’t make it.  We started it off with a bbq at Chad and Becky’s for lunch.  San Diego and Lewiston arrived via airplane this evening and we all had dinner together (Becky made it, don’t worry) we had yummy enchiladas and corn and chips and dip and salad; we talked about having dessert first but decided to not be so rebellious and make the aunts proud.  We had ice cream and brownies and various other things for dessert.  Stay tuned for updates tomorrow and hopefully some pics.

I did it...

I finally saw the movie…was more sci-fi then I thought but overall a good flick and NO I am not going to read!!  I do want to see the 2^nd movie though!

Still Snowing...

Still snowing and we even got a call this morning that Church was Cancelled…now that doesn’t happen very often!  We Love SNOW!!  Sled on.

We received our first snowfall in Kennewick today and you would think my kids had got the best present of their entire life this morning! Now hopefully I can get them back in and ready for church in time!

Yoke's Coupons!!

Listen all you fellow couponers...this one came in the mail last week and I HOPE TO GOODNESS you didn't throw it away just because you don't go to Yokes to shop. The first one expires tomorrow, so USE it. As you can see, I used my first $10 off today at Albertsons (they take competitor coupons) and got my $10 off, no questions asked. I am not sure if Walmart takes competitor coupons but it would be worth an ask!

Thankful - Day 27

I am so thankful that I married into such an awesome family. We are at the Schusters celebrating Thanksgiving in Kooskia and having a great time. I will post pics when we get home, internet is a little slow here for me:-) Happy Thanksgiving to all and to all a goodnight!

Thankful - Day 24

I am so thankful for my baby boy Jaden and the young man he has grown up to be. We had our parent/teacher conference yesterday and he makes us so proud. He has 26 + (exceeds expectation of 2nd grade) and 10 check+'s...we are so proud of our big 2nd grader! He has such good handwriting (he must take after his mom!) He is so kind, loving, athletic and most of all handsome and we love him soo much. The other night Joelie wanted to have a sleep over in his room, so we let them and I tucked them in and shut the door, I stayed outside the door for a little bit to listen...it was the cutest thing ever! Jaden says to her, "You want to say our prayers" and she says "Yeah". So I listened to him pray and then it was her turn, she thinks she still needs help, so I hear her ask him to help her. So he tells her what to say and then they both say Amen. Then he says "I love you sissy, goodnight and she says I love you too...I couldn't stop smiling and thinking that "God gave them to ME" Thank you God for my kids!

Thankful - Day 23

I got up this morning and said "Good Morning" to my husband. He in return said, "Gross, your breath smells like dirty broccoli" (as opposed to clean broccoli???) anyhow, my husband is very grateful that I use toothpaste and I am sure you all are too:-)

Granny and My Brother

Thankful - Day 22


I am SOOOO thankful for my Grandma aka Granny. We don't know what we would do without her. My kids love her so much and want to always be with Granny. Thank you for taking care of my kids when I need you and wanting to spend time with them. And when I need that quick dessert or side for some party, Granny is always there for me! We all love you so much and thank God for you everyday!


I am also very thankful for my baby brother Andy and his wife Josie and my neice "baby Myli". My brother is only 15 months younger than me and like a foot taller than me but he is still younger than me!! He is such a good daddy and we are so proud of you both! I wish you lived closer so we could see you all more often. My kids LOVE Uncle Andy (annie) and wish he could attend more of their events, maybe someday right?? We love you three and can't wait for four someday:-)

Job and Health

Thankful - Day 20

I am very thankful for my job at PNNL, I love my job. Not many people can say that! They have worked around my schedule for years and I really appreciate them, who else would let me basically work when I want - 2 days and week for 10 hours or more a day and give me benefits for my family and some play money!! I have been with them since 1993 and am VERY grateful for everything they have done for me!

I am also very thankful for my co-workers who have also become some of my bestest friends! Stacey, Lisa, Debbie, Andy and Kim just to name a few...this is Stacey and her boyfriend Barney.

I am also very grateful for my health, I have been so healthy all my life, I am kinda scared to bring it up, but I am very grateful!! My biggest surgery was wisdom teeth and having my kids!! I think he knows I probably wouldn't handle it well (esp. since i almos fainted watching Jeremy get an IV), thank you GOD!

Today is my favorite nephew Preston's birthday, he is 11 today and I am so thankful for him. He is the kindest little boy and loves to be hugged...isn't he cute?? I love you Preston!

It is also my bestest friend Kristina's (tina) birthday, she is the big 33 today, she has been my friend since middle school in Othello, I know can you believe she has stayed with me that long!! We may be miles apart but I think of you often Tina, you will be my bff forever and ever:-)

Tonight we went over to our new neighbors the Brockmans for Randy's 40th birthday surprise party. They are soo nice and we are so thankful to have them in the neighborhood to play with:-) Our kids get along great too which makes it even better. We had pizza and then went bowling, thanks Brockmans for inviting us!

Thankful - Day 17

I am very thankful for my baby sister Wendi who is often confused as my twin, which she Hates! I think she is much prettier than me and is 5 years younger than me so I take it as a big compliment when asked if we are twins. She is my best friend and I am lucky enough to have her live only a few doors down from me. Her and Matthew are in Vegas right now and have left my Abbey Dabbey with me (mimi) to love on while they are gone! She sure does miss her mommy and daddy! I am so proud of you two, you are awesome parents and she loves you both alot.

Abbey is practicing to be a dr...to take care of us when we are old!

Husband

Thankful - Day 16

I am so thankful for my husband, he is the world's best father and husband! I am a lucky girl to have him. He can basically fix ANYTHING and I mean anything! He is so good with our kids, he does so many special things with them, he really is such a great father! He helps around the house and lets me take naps, who could ask for more! I love you Jer aka Pete!
